Cut slits in the foam noodle with a utility knife, spacing them 4 in. apart. Place the pool noodle against the wall with at least two of the slits over studs. Pull the slits apart, insert a fender washer, and attach the noodle to the wall with 2-inch screws. Then, at a comfortable height, screw the PVC pipe to the wall beneath it and insert your fishing rods.

I slit the pool noodles lengthwise and snap them over the steel cables on each side of our race car trailer’s rear ramp. They are very visible and prevent accidental tripping over the cables. Thank you for the great pool noodle ideas!
